WanderSafe Founder Appointed to World Para Fencing Promotion Commission

In a testament to resilience and relentless execution, WanderSafe Founder and CEO Stephenie Rodriguez has been appointed to the World Para Fencing Promotion Commission.

Following her life-altering bout with cerebral malaria in 2019, which resulted in the loss of both her feet, Stephenie discovered wheelchair fencing. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first Australian woman to compete internationally in the sport since 1968.

Empowering Global Athletes

In her new role with the World Para Fencing Promotion Commission, Stephenie will leverage her deep expertise in digital marketing, community building, and personal safety to elevate the sport's global profile.

“Sport has incredible power to heal and unify,” she stated. “Just as WanderSafe empowers individuals to navigate the world safely, Para Fencing empowers athletes to reclaim their strength. I am honored to help grow this incredible community on the road to upcoming Paralympic Games.”

Synergy with WanderSafe

Stephenie’s appointment highlights the core values that drive WanderSafe: accessibility, empowerment, and navigating the world with confidence. Her journey from surviving a coma and 47 surgeries to competing on the global piste continues to inspire the product development and mission of JOZU for Women Inc., the parent company of WanderSafe.
