Yes! The WanderSafe app is completely free to download and use. All core safety features including heatmaps, SOS alerts, and community intelligence are included at no cost.

The free app includes real-time safety heatmaps, one-touch SOS alerts, JENI AI concierge, community safety reports, real-time location sharing, and emergency video calls.

Our safety heatmaps use real-time data from verified community reports, local crime statistics, and trusted data sources to overlay risk levels on your map. Areas are color-coded so you can make informed decisions about where you travel.

JENI is our AI-powered safety concierge. She analyzes your location, time of day, and local safety data to provide personalized safety recommendations, travel tips, and real-time threat intelligence.

Go to Settings in the app, tap "Emergency Contacts," and add up to 5 trusted contacts. They'll receive your GPS location, audio, and video when you trigger an SOS alert.

Press and hold the SOS button in the app for 3 seconds. This sends your live GPS location, activates audio/video recording, and alerts your emergency contacts simultaneously. On iOS, you can also trigger SOS via Siri.

Emergency contacts receive an instant push notification, SMS, and email with your real-time GPS location and a link to track your position live.

Yes. WanderSafe's emergency video calls use your internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) and work in any country where you have connectivity.

Open the app and tap "I'm Safe" to deactivate the alert. Your emergency contacts will be notified that you've confirmed your safety.

The Safety Beacon 3.0 is a compact, non-violent personal safety device with a 140dB DHAL deterrent alarm, strobe light, and instant smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It's designed to deter threats and alert your contacts without escalating dangerous situations.

The Safety Beacon 3.0 is currently in development and targeted for release in 2027. Sign up on our Beacon 3.0 page to be notified when pre-orders open.

The Beacon 3.0's alarm and strobe light work independently — no phone connection needed. However, the GPS tracking and contact notification features require a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone and the WanderSafe app.

The Beacon 3.0 is designed for extended battery life in standby mode. Exact specifications will be announced closer to the product launch.

WanderSafe Assist is our enterprise platform that helps organizations fulfill their duty of care for traveling employees. It includes a live admin dashboard, real-time safety monitoring, compliance reporting, and fleet management for safety devices.

Our platform provides ISO 31030-aligned compliance monitoring with real-time tracking, incident reporting, and audit trails. Organizations can demonstrate their duty of care with comprehensive safety analytics and documentation.

We collect only what's necessary for safety features: location data (when you choose to share it), account information, and safety reports. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can delete your account and all associated data through Settings > Delete Account in the app, or by emailing support@wandersafe.com. All data is permanently removed within 30 days per GDPR and CCPA requirements.

Your location is only shared with your designated emergency contacts when you activate an SOS alert or choose to share your location. We never share location data with advertisers or third parties.
